v  Simultaneous

Simultaneous translation requires specific equipment. Interpreters are assisted logistically in order to be fully focused on translation. Interpreters operate in a soundproof translation booth, where they hear and reproduce the translation of the speech given by the speaker. The teams are normally composed by two Interpreters per language and per booth and that, uninterruptedly, ensure the simultaneous translation received by headphones made available to the audience. Each person in the audience can select the channel allowing the speaker’s simultaneous translation to be heard in the desired language.  Back
